INTREC teamed up with MNGD on the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Chapel Refurbishment project included the update of four cemetery chapels at Woronora Memorial Park and Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park. As a design and construct project MNGD designed an a completely network based AV system utilising Crestron for Network video and Control, and QSC for network Audio featuring Yamaha VXL series column source speakers . This system was recommended for its robustness and ease of control and monitoring allowing for minimal control from funeral director and maximum up-time for chapels. This design allowed the large in-chapel AV control room to be replaced by small desk with monitor by moving all equipment to a centralised AV Rack. This increased the floor space of the chapels and allowed for more seats.

Each chapel had several sources HDMI laptop, DVD, PC, and four or more cameras that could be streamed to several video displays inside the chapels, overflow areas, back offices and private condolence rooms. The video would also be live streamed allowing patrons to attend services “online”.

This project also featured Samsung’s new “The Terrace” Outdoor displays.
